Principal's Message

Principal's Message

Dear Maxson Families:

It is with honor and great pleasure that I greet you as the new Principal of Maxson Elementary. I have been on campus for a short time and I can already feel the positive energy that embraces Maxson. I can see that I am joining a team of hardworking, dedicated partners that have existed between school staff, parents, community members, and the most important stakeholders in the equation, the student body.

The formula for success is what has embraced me from the very beginning as I walked through the doors of our facility. I am humbled and most appreciative of the opportunity presented to me to become a member of this educational family. I have been privileged to have spent 11 wonderful years as an educator working with students from the elementary, middle and high school levels. I have served as a teacher and administrator in both California and Idaho. I have also served as a Teacher on Special Assignment, Assistant Principal & Principal in both online/blended and brick and mortar schools.  I currently serve as a Board Member for Inland Area-CUE (Computer Using Educators) and have been appointed by Tom Torlakson - State Superintendent of Schools to be on the Advisory Team that will write the Computer Science Standards for students K-12 grade.

On a personal note, I believe family is very important. My husband is a Local Truck Driver and I have three beautiful daughters. A sophmore in college at Cal State Long Beach, a sophomore in high school and a young 5th grader. The two younger ones are active sport athletes, one plays volleyball with the city and the other plays soccer with AYSO.

The commonality in my years of experience has been the collaboration with others to provide the best possible education experiences for students. As the instructional leader of our fine elementary school, I enthusiastically embrace the task of continuing to utilize fiscal, human, and material resources at my disposal to ensure that students are prepared with the necessary tools to be productive citizens as they write the next chapter of their educational lives moving towards middle school and embarking to high school, postsecondary education, and/or the workforce. I realize that differentiated, rigorous, and relevant instruction that meets the needs of each student will be the vehicle to continuing the success that has been experienced. The learning environment must be as safe and secure as possible for all students, staff, and support personnel.

We will have the opportunity to get to know each other and work together as a team to continue on developing our PBIS Plan and continue to foster a positive learning environment at our school. We will be implementing the adoption of the new ELA/ELD Program, TK-2nd grade teachers will continue to work on SEAL units and SEAL training will expand to 3rd grade.

I am looking forward to working with you all and making it a phenomenal school year with our Maxson Team. I look forward to the exchange of ideas as we all work in harmony much like a symphony to create educational masterpieces for many years to come.

Respectfully,

Veronica Godinez, Principal
